Athletics
Overview
The Cristo Rey Brooklyn athletic program is committed to the short-term and long-term success of its student-athletes. This is a place where motivated student-athletes who have the desire to compete in college can thrive both academically and athletically. Interscholastic athletics is an ideal platform for young people to develop character traits such as personal responsibility, work-ethic, mental-toughness, poise and teamwork. Our coaches take advantage of every opportunity to emphasize and reinforce these qualities.
We aim to win every game or meet that we compete in, however, we always keep winning in the correct perspective - winning takes care of itself when effort, preparation and talent meet. We know the value of hard work, sportsmanship and team work, which we why we offer a robust combination of team sports and individual sports. Overall, we offer 14 different teams across 7 different sports.

Mission & Vision
The Cristo Rey Brooklyn Athletics Department encourages the development of multi-sport athletes through hard work and rigorous training. Coaches and athletic administrators will promote a growth mindset within each student-athlete by creating team environments where athletes challenge themselves both on and off the field of play.
Our mission is to provide a comprehensive and competitive athletic program that promotes physical, mental, and emotional well-being for all student-athletes. We are committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment that instills values of teamwork, dedication, and integrity. Through our dedication to excellence, we aim to inspire a lifelong passion for sports and personal growth in each individual within our athletic community.
Each student-athlete is encouraged to explore multiple different sports in their athletic careers. Our goal is to foster an all-encompassing student, one who strives to excel in every facet of their being - academically, athletically, spiritually and emotionally.
